It is embodied in securing the city's self-sufficient function as a multi-functional administrative city. In particular, the construction of a special planning district for a multi-functional education complex at the 5-1 neighborhood unit in the multi-functional administrative city aims to create a new cluster of educational facilities to support related activities in the future. Thus, this paper seeks to draw implications for the spatial design process in terms of architecture and urban design from a contemporary perspective by discussing the results of the masterplan for the multi-functional education complex. Regarding the goal of building the education complex, this paper proposes to improve the educational environment in the city, efficiently utilize social capital and strengthen the functions needed by the social community, at the same time, suggests the following implications. First, new educational spaces specialized for the needs of the times are required at the regional level. Second, forming a smart education cluster with elementary, middle, and high schools is efficient. Third, the external area of each educational facility should be utilized as a public space in the social community.
