URBARCHISM is a research studio founded in Berlin, Germany, in 2018 by Prof. Hee Jae Lee to develop activities that involve devising, testing, experimenting, and providing theoretical backgrounds to explain facts and phenomena within the observable urban and architectural environment. Since 2025, the research studio has been affiliated with the School of Architecture and Architectural Engineering at Hankyong National University in Anseong, South Korea, where it has conducted a wide range of projects under the supervision of Prof. Lee. These projects span from urban-architectural research topics to the design of public spaces and complex buildings. At the same time, it hosts seminars that explore architectural and urban design theories in depth, while also organising a variety of programmes such as guest lectures, field trips and workshops.

2018년 독일 베를린에 설립된 어바키즘(URBARCHISM)은 2025년부터 대한민국 경기도 안성에 위치한 한경국립대학교 건축융합학부 건축학전공 산하 연구실로 전환됨으로써 이희재 교수의 지도 하에 다수의 도시건축 프로젝트를 추진 중이고, 동시에 건축 및 도시 디자인 이론을 심도있게 탐구하는 세미나를 운영하며, 초청강연, 건축답사, 국제워크숍 등 다양한 프로그램을 파트너쉽 기관과 함께 주최 및 참여한다.
